Bummer ATV Vacation

I talked to a guy at work today that just got back from an ATV riding vacation. He had some bad news to share with me. Him and his wife bought 2 new Yamaha ATV's late last year and were headed to somewhere in Kentucky to ride this weekend. They had stopped Friday night at a motel and when they woke up her bike was gone. Someone had cut the chain off the bike and took it. The police showed and a filed a report and said that this was the 2nd incident like this in the last 2 months. The police said now that the economy is in so bad of condition people are stealing just about everything including ATV's. The officer said they found the first bike that was stolen a few weeks ago, it was completely stripped down. They don't know exactly what they are doing with the bikes, more than likely scraping out whatever they can. The bummer about the whole story is that they don't have insurance on the bikes, and they don't believe their homeowners/motor vehicle will cover any of it. So if you are going on some trips this summer, you might want to check into some cheap atv insurance in case you get hit too.

Honda TRX700XX

I came across this video on youtube showing the new Honda 700XX. I must say I am impressed by some of the features, but only time will tell if this quad is the overall favorite for riders. I personally don't care for the plastic on this bike, but I would have to save the IRS is pretty cool. A few major things I noticed was the weight on this bike, its 100 pounds heavier than the Raptor. This bike should be in stores by now, they gave a date of April 2008. Check out the video for more information. [youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCkHOgyx6ts feature=related 500 500]
