The weight is 508 lbs, wet. .. keep in mind that the Racing 450's are 350-360 lbs DRY and are over 400lbs wet. ... I have a feeling that this quad won't feel as heavy as it sounds.

Ought to ride pretty smoothly and I'm sure it will have pretty good power. .. none of that helps the ugly ugly fender design though

Also note that they went to taller, narrower tires in the back. .. more similar to the Utility quads. . I'm interested to know exactly why they did this (honda usually has a pretty good reason).

yes, the plastic is hideous, and i am not crazy at the 450R plastic either... I think thats why a lot people went with the YFZ450, it just looked more appealing. 450R looks like its missing something in the front, especially with the older design of the headlight.

I think I heard something about them running an 11" rim to clear the brakes or something along those lines. Dont know for sure, but thats something ive heard. I do have to agree that it isnt very appealing to look at.

I kind of like the look of the 450Rs though, If I woul dhave found one with the same goodies as my YFZ for the price I would be on one of those.

I'm anxious to see it in person. Pic's don't ever do a quad justice.

Honda learned from Polaris with the rims. A larger rim will allow rocks and debris to exit the inner wheel. The Outlaws can jam/carry a rock between the lower A-arm and wheel either grinding a nice gouge in it, or all the way through.

I hope it's an industry leader, while maintaining Hondas fit and finish.

Later,

Steve
