How many of you guys love fishing. The last few years have been the busiest ones in my life, graduated college, married, built a house, had twins, etc... So this year I will hopefully get back to something that was a huge part of me when I was younger. I grew up on a small farm in Perryville, Missouri (Southeast Missouri). My dad was a full time heavy equipment operator and my mom worked in accounting. We had about 125 acres, cattle, and some pigs. We built one of first lakes in 89', 3 acre lake with bass, bluegill, and catfish. This complimented the 6 other ponds on the farm. Three years ago, my brother had conservation department build another 3 acre lake that sits right behind the first one we built.
With the drought so bad last summer, the lake we built in 89' turned over and there was dead fish everywhere. We got it cleaned up, and hopefully with all the snow and rain we have had recently it will be full again. The drought last summer dropped the water level in it severely. So I am hoping this spring to take a few days off and get back into it. Plus I have two little ones that I will have to share the experience with. Even if I get stuck baiting hooks , a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work!
Thanks
