ATV FRONT BUMPER FABRICATION 10 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Does anyone know if the monster like teeth I see on semi tractor trailer radiator can be bought somewhere (Smaller size 4 atv bumper)? It looks fairly easy to make some out of aluminum I just need a stencil pattern.

You got a picture of what you are looking for...I don't know much about tractor trailer radiators. I used to work for a small company called Buchheit Inc. They are similar to Tractor Supply and they had a lot of accessories you could buy for ATV's, Trucks, Farm Tractors, etc. If you can show me a picture of what you are looking for I might be able to hook you up.

Thanks

Ok, now I know you mean... I thought you were talking about some kind of tow hook mounted below the bumper... I don't know where you get teeth like this, after thinking about it are you sure its not some kind of nylon cover that slips over it. If not you should be able to make a template out of aluminum or sheet metal pretty easily. Heck if you email the atvscene website news article, they might even have something for you.

Thanks

If you are going to fab the teeth, make your own stencils. Just make several sets (cardboard) and break out the tape. Tape them on and find out which ones you prefer. Before buying materials, confirm what your current bumper is constructed from. Buy a similar material, and cut and weld. Clean up your welds and re-paint. If you are going to do it yourself, and not buy a new bumper, you might as well have exactly what you want.

Good luck,

Steve
