Well, my surgeon isn't real happy about it so soon, but I have worked my ass off to get where I am at and my field is so competitive, I am afraid I will lose my spot with my crew. That's why I put the surgery off for a year cause I was afraid of being laid off while I was gone. It's dog eat dog out there and unemployment sucks. There is approx. over 80 guys sitting on the book at the union hall right now and the thought of getting in line for the opportunity to get a shot to work might be a long time, who knows. So I will tough it out...

Thats probably the smart thing to do, never know if you will have a job they way the housing/financial markets have been going. A lot of construction/carpet/electricians unemployed in St. Louis due to the housing market. I don't see it turning around for several years. Good time to buy, but not to sell.
