Riding Alone? 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago

As I know the best, most fun and safe way to ride is with others, but I find myself riding alone many more times than with others. This is usually due that I typically ride during the week and schedules are crazy. Who else rides alone a lot and if you do what safety measures do you take?
For me, I always have my GPS, camelpack, camera and toolpak and thats about it. Many parks a cell phone is useless. And if I'm alone I do not ride as hard, I do not want to compound fracture a bone and be miles from help.
So, anyone else with wisdom on riding alone?

Riding aggressive alone is nuts in my opinion. I have seen too much in my years of racing/riding. Always let someone know where you are riding and aprox. what time you will be back. Don't deviate from it or you might be setting yourself up for a death trap.

Even not riding aggressive can be an issue. Last time I went to St. Joe's I was out by myself. This was only the 3rd time out on the Renegade and the first time by myself. I was riding what I thought was a casaual pace. I had time to think, "I'm carrying too much speed through here," then I hit the root. As I was in mid flip, I could see the bottom of the Renegade coming down towards me. Before I stopped sliding, I was on my feet getting out of the way.
Point being, I still had to upright a 700# quad by myself. I stayed there for about 20 minutes and saw no one. I only saw one other person in the trails, while I was limping out. If I had been hurt badly, it's hard to tell how long I would have laid there before someone came along.
I'm don't generally ride aggressive, but even a moderate pace can get you into trouble.
Keep safe,
Steve

as outlaw said, the best plan is make sure SOMEBODY knows where you are.
On the trails in Michigan, I've seen a dirtbiker fine a short (20-30 minute) trail to take, and he would call on his cell phone from the trailhead before heading out and immediately upon his return. . .
I myself will not ride alone. .. I can NEVER seem to keep myself from riding aggressive. .. and it's not worth it, IMHO.
At the same time, I only have time to ride on Weekends, and it's not that hard to have others to ride with. .. if I was in Bash3r's position, I might do the same thing.
