Now polaris has got me a little confused, they got a 525 outlaw and a 450 outlaw. I'm not sure what the purpose is here, seems almost redundant. What you think?

thanks

Different race classes. There are also two 525's. An IRS and a SRA.

Later,

Here's the deal, the 525 IRS is the same as last year-great for cross country racing and trail riding, I will say though I trophy almost every time I raced it in MX, so it can be done but a little heavy. The 525 straight axel is also for every thing the IRS one does, but a little lighter and for those who might prefer the staight axel. The 450 is the lightest and made for MX with the smaller diameter MX tires and suspension set up for jumping. I didn't buy the 525 this past year because I didn't race the GNCC series, but my 500 IRS doesn't run even close to a stocker as I have modded it in a few areas. It hauls and I have beaten the 525's, but alot of it in XC is the rider also. Hope this helps. Chuck.

I was dissapointed when they downgraded the shocks on the 525 IRS. .. The Fox shocks are pretty nice for stockers on the 500 outlaw. .. . most recreational riders wouldn't have felt any need to upgrade. .. . though there's always room for improvement
